Metal Detector Finds by Mark Stephens

From the fields behind Winterbourne Road

 

Finds include:- 

A bent 1570s coin. When a couple pledged their love the man would bend one side of the coin in his teeth and the woman bent the other side of the coin.

Badge of the Gloucester Regiment The badge was  silver in colour

A cross

Watch Keys

Soldier's Token found in the fields near where the USA were stationed at a searchlight for the guns on Purdown

A collection of small balls, those with holes are possibly weights, those without are musket or pistol balls

A metal ingot,  and some Coins.
